Portable media players have come a long way from the MP3 players of the past to the true digital media players of today which have emerged with screens big enough for standard definition TV. However even though PMP screens are much bigger and with better quality the PMP's of today are still small enough to fit in a pocket. Over the past several years PMP players have grown in popularity, mostly with the younger crowd, and today are growing very fast even with some of the older crowd. There are many devices available today that can play pretty much any digital files including audio files such as MP3 audio and Windows Media Audio (WMA), video files such as Windows Media Video (WMV), and electronic books. Chances are if a file on your regular computer can be saved you can probably access it on your portable digital media player.
