1) Go to your favorite search engine and type in a phrase such as “free iPod”, “free mp3 player”, “free Zune player”, etc…

2) Go to all the websites offering such deals and make a list of the sites, what you get, and what you have to do. As nothing is rarely ever truly free there will most likely be something you need to do or commit to for an extended period of time. For example, maybe you’ll need to sign up for a year with a music download site and pay a monthly fee in order to receive your free portable MP3 player. Other options may include sites with contests offering the winner a free MP3 player. Make sure to visit several sites as they may offer different products and have different requirements.

3) Take your list and narrow it down to the best deal for you and your situation. Then just do the required steps such as filling out a form and possibly signing up for a service. If you’re going to do the contest route, it may take awhile!

After you have viewed all of the different sites with offers you may not like the products (they may not be the newest MP3 players) or you may not want to make the commitment or fulfill the requirements. In that case you’ll still be ahead of the game as you will most likely have learned a new thing or two during the process. With that new information and a better understanding you will be able to make a better decision on what exactly it is you do want and what you want your MP3 player to do!
