A new television commercial for the Nike+iPod Sport Kit has started airing in the U.S. The 30-second spot features the song “Here It Goes Again” by the band OK Go.
It’s great to see some more mainstream advertising for the Sport Kit, especially at a time of year when so many people will be getting brand new iPod nanos in their Christmas stockings. As much as the gadget has become a part of many of our daily lives, outside of running circles it still isn’t very well-known or understood. Hopefully this spot will help it find a broader audience.
By the way, If you recognize the song, it’s probably because you’ve seen its original music video, which features the members of OK Go performing a choreographed routine on eight treadmills. It was one of the most popular internet videos of the past year. The treadmill motif fits in nicely here.
